The genesis of this bundle is the 21.5-Inch, Late 2013 iMac's built-in support for a second and a third display. Apple engineers utilized the cabling strengths, bandwidth, and versatility of the Thunderbolt interface to enable select Macs to simultaneously drive 2 or 3 more external displays. Built-in Support for 2 External Displays This iMac model can simultaneously support two external displays up to 2560x1600 via its Thunderbolt ports. As shown in the listing pictures this iMac is designed to drive 2 27-inch Apple Thunderbolt Displays simultaneously in a 3-display configuration.

Each ATD can be connected to its own dedicated port on the iMac.
